BC Liberals need to be recalled

I cannot believe the utter stupidity of the BC Liberals.  Here they are spouting the “benefits” of the HST and NOT ONCE did any of these clowns get up BEFORE election day and say the same stuff.

If this HST has so many benefits, then why wasn’t it policy BEFORE the last election?  A good idea is a good idea.  Looney Campbell says that sometimes you have to make the hard decisions not the popular ones.  Well, I think a hard decision would have been to sell us on this HST BEFORE the last election, not after.

All the Liberals who are blindly following this idiot to the cliff really need to go too.  I cannot believe that there is not ONE BC Liberal with enough courage or concern for the people of BC that will stand up to this utter stupidity.

If the BC Liberals were unable to grasp the value of the HST for the well being of BC before the election, then why should think that they have the ability to grasp it now?

People who support this HST should be asking themselves, why didn’t our BC Liberal government push this before the last election?  Could it have been some naked self interest?  Nah… our BC Liberals are all good and honorable.  LOL

To all you BC Liberals who are going to vote with Campbell, because you’re all cowards, well.. good luck in the next election.

Signed the NO HST petition

Yesterday, we went to Langley to sign the NO HST petition being that we live there.

I was on one hand, very happy to see the turn out at the hall, but also saddened that there was so much anger among all the people who took the time to come out to do what they felt was the only thing they had left to try.  That being, to sign the petition and hope that there are still some people with integrity left in the BC Liberal government who, when faced with the reality that we (85% of the voters in BC)  say we don’t want this,  that they will admit their error and stop the foolishness.

I have my doubts and I am concerned that they will push ahead with this anyway, but a part of me hopes that there is still some common sense left in government somewhere.

With all the outrage they have caused, I am amazed at their arrogance at times.

The current issue with the Vancouver School Board for example, or for that matter, any school board in BC.  When the government hears that they are finding it difficult or impossible to operate within the “not allowed to run a deficit” rule, the government essentially says “suck it up”.  But when the government is faced with the same reality, they just wipe out their “not allowed to run a deficit” rule.  What a bunch of hypocrites.

This government has no legitimacy, (in my opinion) to form government, much less should they have the authority to make decisions on our behalf.  They have demonstrated no ability to be able to do so.

While people from all areas warned the government in the last election that we were having an economic meltdown, our geniuses were unable to understand that and blindly repeated their drivel that “no no.. under 500 million deficit… trust us…”

These geniuses now believe that they have the skills or ability to decide or determine what’s best for us?  Please.  Fool us once.. shame on you… fool us twice.. shame on us.

Vancouver council to consider cutting social housing at Olympic Village

Vancouver council to consider cutting social housing at Olympic Village.

I am so taken aback by this whole thing, I am not sure where to even start.

Why on earth would you put social housing on prime waterfront property?  It’s valuable property and since it’s owned by the taxpayers, why wouldn’t we want it used in the most financially effective way possible?

Why should my tax dollars go to provide some admittedly excellent housing for someone else when, frankly, I can’t afford it myself?  I work hard and I’ve worked hard to get where I am, but am I able to consider purchasing waterfront property?  No.  It’s simply not affordable for me, yet people who earn less than I do get to enjoy living in an area that I can’t even begin to get my hopes up for.  What is the message here?  ”It doesn’t matter how hard you work, the fruits of your labours are destined for others.  You won’t have the opportunity to live here, but Joe here who has accomplished nothing, can.  Oh, and don’t complain either.  If you do, you’re heartless and elitist.  Why shouldn’t everyone have the opportunity to live here regardless of whether or not they can afford it?”

Sell the units at market value.  Use the profits from those sales to fund the city expenses.  Social housing?  This is insane.

Who determines which social housing recipients get to live on the waterfront?  Can you imagine the furor there?

I don’t understand the thought process (if indeed there was one) which comes up with the idea of social housing on the waterfront.

Site C seems to spell ‘legacy’ for premier.

I think that the only lasting and beneficial legacy owed to this premier of BC is the utter decimation of the BC Liberal party.

The longer that our elected representatives stand behind Gordon Campbell and support him, the closer they place themselves to oblivion… and good riddance.

We elect people that will stand up for their constituents.  Not weak sheep that do whatever their (in this case) despotic little leader commands.

It’s ok though.  Come election day, they’ll see what this shameful behavior directed at their constituents pays.

Don’t want to listen to what over 80% of British Columbian’s want?  Fine.  Do so at your own peril.

As for us?  Another lesson learned.

‘Clean up,’ judge tells addict who robbed 92-year-old.

There you go.  One day in jail for attacking a 92 year old woman.  If that doesn’t serve as a warning or message that it’s wrong, then I don’t know what will.

Glad we have judges like this in charge.  I feel so much safer now.

CTV British Columbia – HST talks began days after provincial election: documents – CTV News.

Is this a surprise?  These guys can’t keep their stories straight.

Get out and sign that HST petition.  Governments like this one need to be made aware that we’re not fools.

NDP, if you’re listening, for GOD’S SAKE, state that you WILL REPEAL the HST if you’re elected.

Someone out there somewhere has to do what’s right for us.
